Job Description: 

As a Tableau Developer, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex e-commerce data sets into visually appealing and intuitive dashboards and reports that enable our customers to derive key insights about their businesses. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare data models for visualization using dbt, and build and maintain a suite of dashboards across a variety of functional areas using Tableau. 

 Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Tableau visualizations and dashboards. 
• Build multi-level dbt models and associated tests to prepare data for visualization in Tableau, maximizing calculations at the dbt level. 

• Develop visually appealing and interactive Tableau reports, leveraging your strong design sense to create compelling data visualizations. 
• Consider information design to ensure dashboards are effective for non-technical audiences 
• Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability for reporting and analysis purposes. 
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Tableau dashboards and reports to improve usability and efficiency. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 
• Extensive experience as a Tableau Developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise in creating dashboards that handle complex use cases (filtering, drill down, dynamic replacement) while remaining usable and easy to process visually. 
• Experience using dbt to perform hygiene and transformation of data: creating models and associated tests to ensure data integrity.  
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices, with an exceptional eye for design. 
• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis. 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective data visualizations. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 
• Experience with e-commerce and digital marketing data and associated KPIs is a plus.
